Dear Colleagues,
It gives me immense pleasure to welcome you all to the start of a brand-new year. As we step into 2026, I want to take a moment to reflect on the journey we have just completed and to look forward with optimism to the path that lies ahead.
The past year was, without a doubt, a defining period for the Nigerian downstream sector and for NIPCO PLC. We operated in an environment of shifting tides and unprecedented changes. Most notably, we witnessed the entry of a new major player in our industry, the Dangote Refinery.
This development introduced stiff competition and fundamentally altered the market dynamics we have been accustomed to. Yet, when I look back at how we navigated these waters, what I see is not a company that faltered, but a team that rose to the occasion. I want to commend each and every one of you for your unyielding hard work. Your dedication in the face of these competitive headwinds was nothing short of inspiring. You adapted, you persevered, and you ensured that the NIPCO brand continued to stand for reliability and excellence.
As we embark on this new year, the landscape remains competitive. To maintain our leadership position, we must double down on the values that define us.

• Dedication: Let us approach our tasks with renewed vigour. Our efficiency and service delivery are what differentiate us from the competition.
I urge you to continue to show the same level of commitment you demonstrated last year. Let us be agile, innovative, and customer-centric in all we do.
I am acutely aware that the macro-economic situation in the country remains challenging. High inflation and economic volatility affect us all. I want to be clear: NIPCO PLC prioritizes its people.
Despite the external pressures and the competitive costs of doing business, the Management remains resolute in its commitment to your welfare. We understand that a motivated workforce is the engine of our success. We will continue to implement policies that support you and ensure that NIPCO remains not just a workplace, but a community that cares for its own. Let us move into this New Year with confidence.
