NIPCO Plc, formerly called IPMAN Petroleun Marketing Company Limited (IPMCL) was incorporated by members of the Independent Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) on January 8th, 2001 as a Private Limited Liability Company to participate in the distribution of White Petroleum Products business across the nooks and crannies of the Nation.
NIPCO PLC known well for its distribution of White Oil products in Nigeria took a leap into the Gas Sector with its first LPG storage and distribution terminal at Apapa. NIPCO began the construction of a state of the art, Liquefied Petroleum gas (LPG) Plan in 2007 on its sprawling Dockyard road terminal and commissioned its LPG terminal in January 2008.
In 2010, NIPCO PLC deployed its first LPG skid in Abuja and as at 2015, NIPCO PLC has seven numbers LPG Skids already operational at different locations in Nigeria.
Few more LPG Skid and gas plants are under construction and will come into operation this year.
LPG Skid which is the latest technology in dispensing of gas serve dual purpose of refilling cooking gas cylinders and vehicles with Auto LPG.
