TRIBUTE TO A GREAT COLLEAGUE
Undoubtedly the death of Senator Olugbenga Aluko, an eminent personage was a big loss felt not only by the NIPCO Group, but indeed by the hydrocarbon industry and the nation.
The Board, Management and Staff of NIPCO Plc mourn the loss of this intelligent, diligent and iconic son of Ode – Ekiti in Ekiti State.
The amiable Senator who rose to the enviable position of Deputy Chief Whip of the Upper Chamber of the National Assembly in the Fourth Republic played crucial roles in several enactments to raise the bar in the Oil and Gas industry.
As a Director in the Group, he exhibited great competence, diligence and integrity by which he distinguished himself while in service. We thank Almighty God for bestowing on him these great attributes.
We will always owe a huge debt of gratitude to the deceased for his significant contributions towards the growth of our Group of companies.
His death was a big loss and indeed threw the entire Group into deep mourning.
The deceased was a simple man, friendly, approachable and highly dependable. Nigeria has lost a resourceful, urbane and patriotic personality at this crucial period in the nation’s political and business landscapes.
Our thoughts are with the family and associates at this difficult time.
Our empathy also goes to the people and government of Ekiti State and the nation at large.
