Managing Director’s Message On Covid- 19

Dear colleagues

We have monitored situations and developments across the world and particularly Nigeria over the spread of coronavirus, popularly referred to as COVID -19.

Subsequently ,plethora of measures have been put in place to bring into the front burner the awful effect of the virus across the globe including a medical talk and awareness campaign on Thursday ,March 5 ,2020 and the placement of hand sanitizers at all entry points into the terminal  .

We initiated the measures to avoid any lethargy while heeding government and health officials counsel on the imperativeness of such measures.

In the face of daily updates on the virus, we want to use this medium that management will not give room for any complacency to ensure that no member of the NIPCO family is affected by the virus.

Management is not ready to loose any soul in the ongoing pandemic, rather more proactive measure have been approved to further strengthen the family in the course of the company’s operations.

All HODs have been directed to engage their staff on current status of the epidemic and the material resources set aside by management to ensure no employees is affected.

Similarly, employees are enjoined to abide with the safety measures put in place and ensure social distancing ,handshake ,group meeting of over 10 people , restricts visitors to only very essential ones ,lifestyle modification etc

Management is not necessarily aiming at bottom line at this period in the world chequered history    but in making sure all employees are safe and healthy at all times.

However , in view of the essential nature of the services we render in keeping  the nations human and material resources in motion, we may still continue  operations but with a caveat that all our employees are in high spirit to render those services .

It is pertinent to reiterate at this junction , that if anyone have symptoms like coughing ,sneezing ,sore throat ,shortness of breath ,fewer or suspect any infection by COVID – 19 index ,please call the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control [NCDC] on  080097000019or SMS  08099555577

Finally, management urges all to impart in themselves the measures advised by government at all levels to put to bay the COVID -19 pandemic.

With our cherished team spirit, we can assist in reducing the impact of the pandemic!
