NIPCO Graduate Trainee Programme

Our Graduate Trainee Programme is designed to fast-track exceptional university graduates into the Nigerian energy industry. Over 18 months, trainees rotate through key business divisions, receive mentoring from senior management, and develop both technical and leadership skills.

The programme typically opens annually and is open to graduates from accredited Nigerian universities with a minimum of Second Class Upper (2:1) in Engineering, Sciences, Business, Finance, or related disciplines.

Our Hiring Process

1. Apply Online

Click Apply on any role and email your CV and cover letter to our HR team.

2. CV Screening

Our HR team reviews applications within 5 working days. Shortlisted candidates are contacted by email.

3. Interview

One or two rounds — typically a phone screen followed by a panel interview with HR and the hiring manager.

4. Assessment

Technical or psychometric assessments may be required for engineering, finance, and senior roles.

5. Offer & Onboarding

Successful candidates receive a formal offer. Onboarding includes orientation, HSEQ induction, and role-specific training.
