In 2023, 22 Hospitality Limited — a wholly-owned subsidiary of NIPCO Plc — acquired a majority stake in Capital Hotels Plc, the then-owners of the Abuja Sheraton Hotel. The property was rebranded as Abuja Continental Hotel and placed under the management of Continental Hotel Group, which also operates the Lagos Continental Hotel, its flagship property.
Today, Abuja Continental Hotel stands as one of Africa's iconic hotels — 540 well-appointed rooms and suites spread across 12 floors, located at the very centre of Abuja amid a blending of nature and sophistication.
